  • INVITATION FOR NEWS AGENCIES

    The Institute for Penal Reform and the Norwegian Rule of Law Advisers to Moldova (NORLAM) in cooperation with the Probation Direction within the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova organize the International Conference „Probation in the Republic of Moldova.  Challenges and New Approaches” that will take place on 27 November 2009, at 9:00 in Palatul Republicii (entrance from N. Iorga Str.) 

    The goal of this event is to draw attention to the challenges faced by the Probation in Moldova and to find solutions in order to ensure an efficient implementation of this new institution in the context of adjustment of the Moldovan criminal justice system to the European standards and practice. 

    During the Conference such countries as Norway, Latvia and Romania will present their experience in development of the probation.  The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Moldova, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova, representatives of the Royal Norwegian Embassy, representatives of the Judiciary, lawyers, representatives of the international organizations accredited in the Republic of Moldova, as well as representatives of various NGOs.
