    Seminars for Defence Lawyers Continue

    The series of seminars on Pre-trial Detention organized in cooperation with the Law Centre for Lawyers and the Moldovan Bar Association continue.

     

    After the two seminars for lawyers, one held in Chişinău (22 April) and one in Bălţi (21 May) with about 50 participants in total, it was decided to organize seminars for lawyer interns as well. Hence, on the 12 July 2010 a seminar for about 30 lawyer interns took place at the Law Centre for Lawyers’ premises.

     

    As lecturers, also Moldovan trainers participate, and namely: Mr. Sergiu Furdui, Deputy Chairman of the Penal Panel of the Supreme Court of Justice and Ms. Ana Ursachi, Lawyer.

     

    On behalf of NORLAM, in these seminars participate: Helle Gulseth, lawyer, Knut Sætnan, police prosecutor, Bjørn Larsen, police prosecutor, Dag Brathole, judge, Denis Arcuşa, national legal consultant.

     

    During the following semester of 2010, six more seminars are planned.
